Written around the same time as Terminus, Arrival basically wrote itself after I’d just taken delivery of a very low-end bass I’d bought for laying down demo tracks instead of doing everything in MIDI. The track sat around for a number of years and was re-recorded a few times with various guitars. At a very late stage in the mixing process I decided to cull the rhythm guitar tracks and present it as a “trio” track with only the bare essentials, something I believe the composition ultimately benefits from. It’s a short simple tune which didn’t quite fit in with the rest of the album but it would have been a shame to just leave unheard. It is thus presented here as a bonus track.
